This event is geared towards women in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s. Join us for a casual lunch and good conversation with other women in our community! We will have a panel of women who have experienced these ages and stages of life who will share their tips, stories, and advice on how to live fully and meaningfully.

MEET THE PANEL
NANCY FOSTER
Nancy Foster is married to Jerry (45yrs!). They have four children and fifteen grandchildren. Fortunately, her pediatric nursing background made her experienced with band-aids! Nancy has grown personally through a family adoption, hosting exchange students, and international missions. She and Jerry spoke with FamilyLife for 22 years, sharing their joys and challenges of marriage. Nancy’s love for other cultures has given her opportunities to mentor young women from Guatemala and South Sudan. She serves on the board for Change Course.Â
RACHELLE LONG
Rachelle is the President & Founder of The Taste of the Junction, a community event that proudly celebrates the people, culture, cuisines, and contributions of the multiracial, multiethnic, and multicultural neighborhoods of Valley Junction. She is also the owner of Chellie’s Sugar Shack Bakery and loves to bake cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and coblers. Rachelle is known for ability to build relationships in our community in order to promote change and foster communication.Â
SANDY MURPHY
Sandy grew up on a farm in central Nebraska, so of course, is a lifelong Husker fan. After college, she joined the Cru staff and served college students in St. Louis and eastern Europe. At age 30, Sandy married her husband, Ryan, a they moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she was a stay-at-home mom to her three kids. They moved to Iowa in 2015, where she began subbing at their local school, started a small cookie business, and began volunteering at Valley Church. She now works part-time with the Valley Church high school ministry. She loves working with students, summer weather, good coffee, and time with friends.Â
KATHY TURNBALL
Kathy has over thirty years of experience teaching all ages preschool through high school, special education and U.S. History. She is a wife, mother of two girls, and grandma of three boys and three girls. Kathy is passionate about care and compassion in her community and about volunteering. She has a heart for women to be SEEN at whatever stage of life they are in.Â
