Join our Des Moines community in sending care packages filled with essentials and encouragement to service members deployed in the Middle East. As part of Love You Des Moines Days, a nine-day city-wide celebration running July 26 through August 3 at the Valley Community Center (4444 Fuller Road, West Des Moines, IA 50265) valleycommunity.center+11loveyoudsm.com+11valleycommunity.center+11life1071.com+6valley.church+6valley.church+6, we’re organizing a community care drive with local support.

What We’re Collecting (now through Saturday, August 2 at 9 AM):

Travel-size toiletries: body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, sunscreen

Gallon-sized Ziplock bags (for packing)

Protein bars

Individual packages of trail mix and nuts

Water enhancer packets for flavor and hydration

Encouragement Cards:
During Love You Des Moines Days, drop in to create heartfelt cards filled with messages of encouragement and love to include in each care package. Prefer to craft at home? Feel free to bring extra cards—your words can uplift spirits thousands of miles away.
